Campsite in Havelberg
The town has one campsite: Campinginsel on the Spülinsel. Washrooms, pitches, a tent meadow and, in season, Café Lieblingsplatz. Separately, the town of Havelberg runs a motorhome park on Bahnhofstraße without service buildings.
Campinginsel Havelberg
Spülinsel 6, opposite the island town, yacht harbour and Bahnhofstraße. Tent, caravan and motorhome sit right on the Havel. From the site you see water, cathedral and old town. On the island there is minigolf, boat hire and, in season, Café Lieblingsplatz.
By car you reach the site via Bahnhofstraße and the rear bridge. The Havelstegbrücke stays the foot and cycle path to the island town.

Extra motorhome park without service buildings
Opposite Bahnhofstraße 51 there are eight marked pitches for motorhomes and caravans. The town of Havelberg runs the site. In the town rules it is short-stay parking. You cannot reserve; it is open all year. There is no WC or washroom on the site. Photos will follow.
On the town leaflet (February 2024) the first night costs 12 euros per motorhome, the second 11 euros, the third 10.50 euros. From April to October a visitor tax is added, one euro per person per night. You pay at the start cashless at the machine or by app. The receipt belongs behind the windscreen where it can be seen.
The plots are 7.5 to 15 metres long and 4.5 to 6 metres wide. Awning tents are allowed if neighbours still have space. Power is only at the town’s paid columns; generators are forbidden. Fresh water and waste water can be taken or emptied on the nearby campsite for 4 euros per use.
Dogs must stay on a lead. Open fire is forbidden, grilling is allowed. Quiet hours run from 22:00 to 06:00. The full rules sit with the town of Havelberg.
For one or two nights the site can be enough. Anyone who wants a shower, a longer stay or space with children is better on Campinginsel.
What to settle before you arrive
- Campinginsel: enquire by phone. In high season and at Horse Market or boat parade, ask early.
- Bahnhofstraße: town motorhome park without WC, no reservation, pay at the machine or by app.
- Do not drive over the Havelstegbrücke. The way onto the island is the rear bridge on Bahnhofstraße.
