Where it is
Weinbergstraße 21, 39539 Havelberg. This stretch of Weinbergstraße sits on the south slope of Havelberg’s Weinberg: tight and quiet toward the street, the hill behind. The outbuilding meets the slope. Between house and hill sits the terrace, not visible from the street.
Below the street the garden begins. Guests may use it. Walk out the far side and you reach a public footpath and, just beyond, the Havel.
Parking: Right in front of the house on Weinbergstraße.
The house
The Fischerhaus is a late-baroque timber building from 1775 with a half-hipped roof, clay-wrapped ceilings and walls, and the curved braces at the corners typical of the time. The east wing was a threshing floor from the start. Around 1870 a cellar with Prussian cap vaults was added.
After about 25 years empty and close to demolition, the house was restored from 2018 to listed standard: frame, ceilings, roof structure and infill. It is among the best-preserved period buildings on Weinbergstraße and shapes the view from the water. The Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz backed the facade work.
The holiday flat
The flat sits in the restored timber house and has two bedrooms, a kitchen, one bathroom and a living area. Wi-Fi is included. Towels and bed linen come with the stay. Terrace and garden looking toward the Havel round it off.
Dogs are not allowed. The stay is listed as non-smoking. It is described as having fewer barriers; there is no lift.
Garden and water
The garden below the street is for guests and leads to the public footpath on the Havel. Water sport nearby is possible. A private jetty or a pool is not listed.
