Where it is
Lange Straße 1, 39539 Havelberg, on the island town. Cathedral, market and harbour are on foot. The footpath in front of the door belongs to the plot: you can park there right at the house, even if the forecourt is not separately marked. More free parking sits on Lange Straße and Uferstraße.

A short story
The timber house stands at the bend toward Steinstraße and Fischerstraße. On historic photos it still sits full in the street line. In GDR years trunk road 107 ran through here; the bend was a known accident spot. Today Lange Straße and Steinstraße are one-way streets, and the house is used as a step-free holiday flat. Paintings by the artist Klaus Schröter hang in the flat. He lives in the house and will gladly show his studio if you ask.
