A short story
The building at Elbstraße 7 was built in 1886 as the rifle house of the Havelberg shooting guild and has been used as an inn since then. It stands in the Mühlenholz floodplain wood on the road to the Elbe ferry, on the Elbe Cycle Route, and borders the Horse Market ground.
In the first half of the 1990s the house was thoroughly renovated; eight guesthouse rooms for 14 guests in all were created on the upper floor. After a fire the rooms were renovated again in 2003 and newly fitted. The house has two dining rooms (about 76 and 36 m²) and a hall of about 185 m² on a plot of about 4,750 m². From 1 January 2027 the Schaumburg family run the pension and inn.
